Notice is hereby given that the Borough of Conshohocken will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Conshohocken Borough Hall, 400 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428, concerning the 2026 Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG).
CDBG is a federal program designed to fund projects benefiting low- and moderate-income community residents. Funds are administered by the PA Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED). Conshohocken is eligible for $150,645.00 in 2026 CDBG funding.
The Borough is interested in gathering information from residents regarding their thoughts on community needs and how 2026 CDBG funds should be spent. Residents may also comment on Conshohocken’s past use of CDBG funds. Most recent uses of CDBG funds have been for housing rehabilitation and the construction of curb ramps.
CDBG funds may be used for the following types of projects: water and sewer line replacement or improvement; housing rehabilitation; construction of affordable housing; construction or reconstruction of public/community facilities; new public services, activities which increase public service delivery; street improvements; removal of architectural barriers; economic development; code enforcement; acquisition and demolition of property; general administration; planning; audit; and preparation of the CDBG application. For CDBG-funded projects involving housing, the replacement of any demolished low-moderate income housing units, which displace families or individuals, is required.

It is of the utmost importance to Conshohocken Borough Council that residents be given every opportunity to voice their opinions. Written comments on any of the areas described above will be accepted before or after the hearing through August 31, 2026. The deadline for submission of a CDBG application is October 30, 2026.
