There will be a 2010 CDBG Public Hearing tonight at 7pm.
 
Executive Session
 
There is an executive session scheduled for tonight after the meeting to discuss Real Estate, Act 511 Tax Audits and personnel matters.

Jason Salus - Ward 1- Transportation & Parking Chair
 
1.      Ward Items
a.      Council will have for consideration a motion to authorize the Manager to execute the Sewer Module for 212 Wood Street.
b.      Council will have for consideration a Façade Improvement Loan for Flocco Realty for $18,515.50. Properties included are 110,114,119,121, 201 and 320 Fayette Street.

a.      Council will have for consideration a Handicap parking request for 425 West Elm Street. The space will be located on Corson Street.
b.      Committee would like to form a Handicapped Parking Committee with a Police Officer, a Fireman and Ambulance personnel to start.
4.      Shade Tree
a.      The committee would like to appoint Anita Andre to the Committee.
5.      Business Development Commission
a.      The next meeting is scheduled for April 26, 2010 at 7pm.

a.      The Committee has reviewed our Part Time Police Officer’s hourly rate and they would like Council to approve increasing it effective April 26, 2010 from $15.00 to $16.00.

Bob Stokley – Ward 6- Public Works Chair

a.      Council will have for consideration a Handicap parking space for 345 West 12th Avenue

a.      Council will have for consideration a motion to approve #2 change order request from the Engineer for the 100 Block Streetscape project in the amount of ($15,132.38).
b.      Council will have for consideration a motion to approve #3 change order request from the Engineer for the 400 Block Streetscape project in the amount of ($28,508.19).
c.      Council will have for consideration a motion to authorize the Engineer to bid the 2010 Road Program
d.      Council will have for consideration a motion to authorize the Engineer to bid the 500 Block Streetscape project.
e.      2010 summer workers – we have three returning and three have not contacted Public Works yet.
f.        Council will have to adopt a motion to authorize the Council President to execute an agreement with Penn Dot for handicapped ramps on Fayette Street

a.      Council will have for consideration a motion to approve the new Litter Ordinance for the Borough
3.      Recreation
a.      The Committee is working on the July 3rd Celebration for this year. There is a link to the Fireworks Facebook page that can be accessed on the Borough’s Web site.
b.      The Committee would like Council to approve removing a railroad tie wall and regrading the area for $1,050 at the T-Ball Field at Sutcliffe Park.

1.      Police Department
a.      Police Report for the Month
b.      Council will have for consideration a motion to approve an Ordinance providing for the prohibition of the parking of certain vehicles with registered gross weight in excess of 9,000 lbs
c.      Mayor would like Council to approve the Staff updating our COPS Hiring Program Grant application.
d.      Mayor would like Council to approve Sergeants Santoro third request for Educational Reimbursement for an Ethnic America course at Saint Joseph for $1,126 plus books.
e.      Council will have for consideration a motion to authorize the Staff to apply for the 2010 Bulletproof Vest Program Grant

a.      Council will have for consideration a request for Handicap parking space for 320 Spring Mill Avenue
