Jason Salus - Ward 1- Transportation & Parking Chair

 

1.    Shade Tree:

a.    The Shade Tree Commission will have a Bare Roots Tree Planting on March 27, 2010

b.    Council will have a motion to accept a new Shade Tree Commission Ordinance

c.    Council will have a motion to appoint Todd Camden to the Shade Tree Commission

2.    Business Development Commission Ordinance motion to approve

3.    Council will have a motion to accept an Ordinance to report lost or stolen firearms.

 

Ike Griffin- Ward 2- Public Safety Chair

 

1.    Council will have a motion to approve a Resolution for Moratorium on prohibiting alcoholic beverages at outdoor cafes

2.    Motion to accept the banner application and fee of $200 to hang a banner

3.    Request for a Waiver of Off-Street Parking approved for 103-105 Fayette Street

 

 

Carolyn Maye - Ward 4- Personnel Chair

1.    Committee is reviewing applications/resumes we received thus far for the Code Enforcement position.  The closing date for accepting applications is March 25, 2010.

2.    We received a $3,500 grant to help with the Farmer's Market expense this year.

 

Anthony Tucci -Vice President- Ward 5- Building & Grounds Chair

 

1.    Motion for Council to authorize the Manager and the Solicitor to advertize the sale of the Parking lot at Spring Mill and Harry Street.

2.    Keystone Properties Tenant stopped certification execution

3.    The Environmental Council Committee has scheduled their next meeting for March 23, 2010 at 7pm.

 

Bob Stokley - Ward 6- Public Works Chair

 

1.    Inspection reports for the maintenance bond release for the CDBG Curb Cut Program motion to request the Bonding Company complete the work.

2.    Motion to award the Public Works Pole barn bid to _________ for $________.

3.    Solicitor's opinion letter concerning ownership of Streets & Alleys in the Borough

4.    Council has a copy of the Engineers' proposal for the 2010 Road Program.  Motion to approve this after Budget motion.

5.    Motions for Council to have the Engineer ask Mike Gerber's office for help with the handicapped ramps on Fayette Street.

6.    Motion for Council to approve placing a tree and lighting by the Shaffer property as part of the 2009 Road Program.

Ed Phipps - Ward 7 - Parks & Recreation Chair

 

1.    Council will have for consideration to authorize the Solicitor to advertise the proposed Litter Ordinance for the Borough

2.    Recreation

a.    The Committee is working on the July 3rd Celebration for this year.

b.    The Fellowship House will be hosting the Annual Albert C. Donofrio Classic during the end of March and the first two weeks of April

3.    Council will have a motion to approve Richard's Electric in the amount of $1,225.00 for installing three additional light fixtures at the A-Field and pay for it out of the Parks and Recreation Impact Fee.

 

Robert Frost - Mayor Report

 

1.    Police Report for the Month

2.    Council will have for consideration authorizing the Solicitor to advertize an Ordinance providing for the prohibition of the parking of certain vehicles with registered gross weight in excess of 9,000 lbs

3.    Council will have for consideration a motion to accept an Ordinance to amend the Police Pension Plan to comply with ACT 600 of 1956 as amended by ACT 51 of 2009

4.    Motion for Council to appoint Leo Costello as Deputy Fire Chief.

5.    Chief would like to invite all Council to visit the Police Station.

6.    Saint Patrick's Day Parade has been rescheduled for March 27, 2010 at 2:00pm.

 

Paul McConnell - President- Ward 3- Finance Chair

 

1.    Finance

a.    Council will have for consideration a Resolution for $234,090 for completing elements of Streetscape Project between the 100 and 700 Block

b.    Council will have for consideration a Resolution for $19,320 for way finding and information signage from river to Town

2.    Council will have for consideration contract extensions for our Housing Consultants- Nancy Nugent and Carl Royer

3.    Light shields for the pedestrian lighting update

4.    Dedicated parking space request for a resident at 322 East Hector Street

5.    Council will have for consideration permitting Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation would like to hold on of their "creative financing in a tough economy" seminars at 720 Fayette Street.

6.    Announce 2010 Census mailings are going out and please fill them out because it benefits our community funding.

7.    Motion to authorize the 2010 Road Program and to adjust the 2010 Budget for the 2009 Road Program balance forward.

8.    Motion for Council President to send Plymouth Township Council a letter requesting them to work with us to submit a request to DEP to help us resolve flooding issues in Plymouth Creek.

9.    Council has a copy of the Library's Newsletter for April 2010.
