COUNCIL MEMBER & COMMITTEE REPORTS

Jason Salus - Ward 1- Transportation & Parking Chair

 

(1)  Council will have for consideration a proposed Resolution for a Conshohocken Business Development Commission.

(2)  Council will have for consideration to authorize the advertisement of an Ordinance for reporting lost or stolen firearms

(3)  Council will have for consideration appointing two new Shade Tree Commission members and the Commission would like to recommend Jennifer Sweney and Todd Camden.

(4)  Council will have to accept with regrets Carol Smith's resignation from the Commission

(5)  The Shade Tree Commission will have a Bare Roots Tree Planting on March 27, 2010.

 

Ike Griffin- Ward 2- Public Safety Chair

 

(1)  Council will have for consideration a motion to accept a proposal from Miller Brothers in the amount of $3,800 to supply and install two 35' class 5 utility poles and perform pole installation in sidewalk area

 

Carolyn Maye - Ward 4- Personnel Chair

 

(1)  Council will have for consideration a motion for a handicapped parking space for 103 W. 9th Avenue

(2)  Committee has placed the position of Code Enforcement officer on the Borough's web Site and we are looking into posting it onto Monster.Com

(3)   Personnel Committee meeting is changed to February 24, 2010 at 7:30 pm.

 

Anthony Tucci -Vice President- Ward 5- Building & Grounds Chair

 

(1)  The 720 Fayette Street appraisal update.  Council will have a motion to authorize an additional cost of $1,000 for the appraisal.

(2)  Council has resumes from residents who are interested in serving on the Environmental Advisory Committee

(3)  Council will have for consideration a motion for a Resolution for a Sub-Division at 206 E. 8th Avenue

(4)  Council will have for consideration a motion for Land Development for 206 E. 8th Avenue

(5)  First EAC meeting is scheduled for February 23, 2010 at 7pm

 

 

Bob Stokley - Ward 6- Public Works Chair

 

(1)  Council to authorize Manager to release escrow for:

Ed Phipps - Ward 7 - Parks & Recreation Chair

 

(1)  Council will have for consideration a motion for a lease agreement for a person to reside at the "A" Field Apartment.

(2)  Council will have for consideration a motion for the tenant for the "A" Field Apartment.

(3)  Council will have for consideration a motion to accept Siletta Plumbing proposal for "A" Field Apartment for plumbing fixtures for $1,175 and pay for it out of the Parks and Recreation Impact fund

(4)  The Borough has marked 50 trees for trimming as part of their annual program and removal of possibly 4 trees

(5)  The Committee is working on the July 3rd Celebration for this year.

 

Robert Frost - Mayor Report

(1)  Police Report for the Month

(2)  Council will have for consideration a motion to appoint a new Fire Chief.

(3)  Council will have for consideration a motion for  a Resolution thanking ArcelorMittal for their generous contributions to the Police Department and The Fellowship House

(4)  Council will have for consideration a motion to advertize an Ordinance to amend the Police Pension Plan to comply with ACT 600 of 1956 as amended by ACT 51 of 2009.

(5)  Council will have for consideration a motion to approve Officer Santoro's request for educational reimbursement in the amount of $1,126, plus books.  He is taking Faith and Justice at St. Joseph's University.

 

 

Paul McConnell - President- Ward 3- Finance Chair

(1)  Council will have for consideration a motion to appoint a new member to the Vacancy Board.

(2)   Council will have for consideration a motion to accept the proposal from Craftech to provide computer maintenance and back-up services

(3)  Council will have for consideration a motion to place crosswalks and curb cuts on Spring Mill at Cherry Street

(4)  Council will have for consideration a motion to have lines painted at Harry and Elm Streets

(5)  Council will have for consideration a motion for a Resolution for an amendment land development plan for 301 Washington Street due to changes in the lighting plan

(6)  Attached is a Press Release explaining the Borough's fiscal results for the year 2009.

(7)  Pension Plan meeting with our Investment Advisor has been rescheduled for February 24, 2010 at 6:30pm
