COUNCIL MEMBER & COMMITTEE REPORTS
Ed Phipps - Parks & Recreation, Public Safety, Finance & Fellowship House (1) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to approve the additional work at Sutcliffe Park proposed by Laffredo Construction for $3,100.00 and to pay for it out of the Parks and Recreation Impact Fee. (2) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to authorize the Committee to move forward with having an individual reside at the "A" Field apartment who will be responsible for the maintenance around the field and buildings. The Solicitor will send us a sample lease for an individual to reside at the "A" Field. (3) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to approve Anthony D'Angelo's proposals for work at the "A" Field Apartment in the amount of $2,975.00 and pay for it out of the Parks and Recreation fund. (4) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to approve Anthony D'Angelo's proposal for work at the "A" Field Press Box in the amount of $1,750.00 and pay for it out of the Parks and Recreation fund. (5) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to approve Richard's Electric proposed for work on the "A" Field Project in the amount of $3,387.75 and pay for it out of the Parks and Recreation fund.
Bob Stokley - Public Works, Parks & Recreation, Personnel, Building & Grounds & Fellowship House
(1) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to approve the 2009 Road Program additional work in the intersection of Spring Mill and Harry Streets which totals $30,632.00. (2) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to approve a contract with Hough Associates to collect data for our recycling grant. The total price of the contract is $4,000.00 (3) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to authorize the Staff to file a preliminary application for a County Revitalization Grant. (4) Council will have to discuss adopting a motion to authorize the Manager to send a letter to our Representative to have DEP release the 2007 and 2008 Performance Grant Awards. (5) Council needs to authorize the Manager to release the following escrows:

(1) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to authorize the Solicitor to amend our Fire Department Ordinance.
Paul McConnell - Personnel, Finance, Public Works, Building & Grounds, Transportation & Parking, & Library (1) Council has a copy of the December 2009 Library events for the month. (2) Council will have to discuss adopting a motion to approve the 2010 Budget at $9,857,520.00 (3) Council will have to discuss adopting an Ordinance setting the Real Estate Tax Millage for 2010 at 3.5 mills. (4) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion for a Resolution, which sets the Police Officer's Pension contributions at 3% for 2010, per the contract. (5) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a Resolution authorizing the Borough to apply for a Green Regions Program Grant in the amount of $10,000. (6) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to approve a handicapped parking space for 319 Spring Mill Avenue.
Jason Salus - Building & Grounds, Personnel, Transportation & Parking, Finance & Mary Wood Park House (1) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion for a proposal for an environmental services survey for the Verizon Building. Attached is a worksheet I used to review these proposals. (2) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to authorize the Solicitor to have Indian Valley Appraisal Company complete additional appraisal work in the amount of $1,800 for 720 Fayette Street. (3) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to grant a Waiver of off street parking for 108 ½ Fayette Street. (4) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a Resolution approving a 3 lot sub division and land development at 440 Old Elm Street. (5) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to approve a request for a handicapped parking space at the rear of 411Rear West Elm Street. (6) Council will have to discuss how they want to proceed with the property on Old Elm Street; which was not transferred to the Antonelli's.
Joe Collins - Mayor Report (1) Police report for the month. (2) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to approve the St. Patrick's Day Committee request to have a parade on Saturday, March 13th, 2010 at 2pm. (3) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a Resolution honoring an Officer for thwarting a bank robbery. (4) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a Resolution honoring Officers for their assistance at a possible bank robbery. (5) The Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to accept the resignation of Robert Phipps from his Fire Chief's position. He is willing to serve until a replacement is appointed. (6) The Solicitor will explain to Council the proper procedures of how to address issues with the Police Department personnel. (7) Council will have to discuss if they want to approve Sergeant Santoro's request for educational reimbursement in the amount of $1,126.00, plus books. He is taking Environmental Biology at St. Joseph's University. (8) Council will have to discuss if they want to approve Officer Glasgow's request for educational reimbursement in the amount of $5,800. He is taking Terrorism and Research Methods courses at Boston University. (9) Council will have to discuss if they want to approve Officer Walter's request for educational reimbursement in the amount of $654.00, plus books. He is taking English 115 and Sociology 101 at Montgomery County Community College.
Sandy Caterbone - President (1) Council may have for consideration this month a Comcast Franchise Extension Agreement. (2) Council has a copy of our Commissions and Boards list which details the people whose terms will expire this year. (3) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to advertise the 2010's Borough Council's Workshops and Council meetings and Boards and Commissions meeting dates and times. (4) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion for the request of a Waiver of off street parking for 48 West 7th Avenue. (5) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to authorize the Staff to apply to the Department of Agriculture for a Farmers Market Grant between $5,000 and $7,000.

Fran Marabella - Borough Manager
(1) The County's Act 32 Committee met this month and Council needs to authorize our delegate to approve a Solicitor, by laws and possible auditor for the Committee. Also the Borough will be responsible for an estimated $1,500 in Committee costs.
