(2) There is a Public Hearing scheduled for tonight at 7:00 P.M. to discuss the Borough’s 2009 CDBG application.
Executive Session
There is an Executive Session tonight after the meeting to discuss real estate and personnel matters.

COUNCIL MEMBER & COMMITTEE REPORTS
Ed Phipps - Parks & Recreation, Public Safety, Finance & Fellowship House
(1) The Parks and Recreation Committee are working on updating our Parks Rules and Regulations.
(2) The Third of July fireworks project update.
(3) Council will have to discuss adopting a motion to reject the “A” Field building stucco bids and authorize the Engineer to rebid the project.
(4) Repairs to the wall at 225 East Hector Street update.
Bob Stokley - Public Works, Parks & Recreation, Personnel, Building & Grounds & Fellowship House
(1) The Engineer and Staff are working on the Public Work’s pole barn project.
(2) Council has a copy of the PSAB Junior Council Person Program.
(3) Sturbridge Builders First and Wood Street road dedication update.
(4) Public Works summer help employees update.
(5) The Public Works Department truck sale update.
(6) The 400 Block Streetscape project started on May 11, 2009 and the project is scheduled for 70 calendar days. The work will be completed between 4th and 5th Avenues.
(7) Council will have to discuss adopting a motion to approve the final change order for the contract amount of the 2008’s Streetscape project for a reduction of $65,070.03.
(8) Council will have to discuss adopting a motion authorizing the Manager to sign the sewer module for 312 West 4th Avenue after the Wastewater Authority approval.
(9) Council needs to authorize the Manager to release the following escrows:

(1) SEPTA ticket sales office update.
(2) Council will have to discuss adopting a motion to authorize the Solicitor to advertise for adoption next month the Ordinance for the zoning change for the additional properties which are located around the Spring Mill parking lot to include them in the Business Commercial Zoning District.
Tony Tucci - Public Safety, Public Works, Parks & Recreation & Library
(1) The Committee is working on the revised Career Firefighters Job Description.
(2) The Committee is working on our Volunteer Fire Fighter Policy and Procedures for Borough Employees.
(3) The Committee is working on an amendment to our Traffic Ordinance for handicapped parking spots (additions and deletions), no parking in the cul-de-sac, parking against traffic and one way streets changes.
(4) The Code Department vehicle sale update.
(5) Council has the Emergency Management Director Job Description and a proposal for the position.
(6) Council will have to discuss adopting a motion for the Resolution for the construction spec changes to our SALDO Ordinance.
(7) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion for the Special Parking Privilege request for 429 East 9th Avenue.
(8) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion authorizing the Solicitor to advertise for adoption next month the change to the Contractor Licenses Ordinance to comply with the new State Act effective July 1, 2009.
Paul McConnell – Personnel, Finance, Public Works, Building & Grounds, Transportation & Parking, & Library
(1) The Technology Committee update.
(2) The Act 511 tax audit program update.
(3) Business Authority update.
(4) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to approve the Ordinance and execute the documents for the Borough to join the DVHIT Trust.
(5) Council has a copy of the June 2009 Library events for the month.
Jason Salus - Building & Grounds, Personnel, Transportation& Parking, Finance & Mary Wood Park House
(1) DR Horton’s West Elm Street Penn Dot issues update.
(2) Borough’s properties update.
(3) Shared Ride Reimbursement Program update.
Joe Collins - Mayor Report
(1) Police report for the month.
(2) Lieutenant’s position update.
(3) All new Councilpersons and the Mayor need to take the NINS training course and test. Please see the Chief for details.
(4) Council has a copy of the Parking Enforcement Officer job description that was requested.
(5) Council will have to discuss asking the Mayor to install stop signs at West Third Avenue and Forrest Street under his emergency powers.
(6) The Conshohocken Car Show is scheduled for June 6, 2009 with a rain date of June 13, 2009 from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
(7) Council will have to discuss authorizing the Police Chief to offer employment to the applicants on the Civil Service Eligibility List.
(8) Council will have to discuss adopting Resolutions for Police Officers with 20 years of service to the Borough.
(9)Council will have to discuss approving St. Vincent de Paul Society request to place a trailer on 7th Avenue from Friday, June 26 until Monday, June 28, 2009 to collect items for the church.
(10) Council will have to record for the minutes the Wednesday, May 6, 2009 vote taken to adopt a Resolution for the 2009 Recovery Act Justice Assistance Grant Application for $13,612. Mr. Phipps made the motion, it was seconded by Mr. Griffin, everyone voted in favor of the motion. Mr. Salus was absent from the meeting.
(11) Council will have to discuss adopting a motion to accept James Dougherty’s request to be released from the Drop Program effective June 5, 2009 and retire.
(12) Council has a copy of the VFW Post schedule for this Memorial Day which is celebrated on May 25, 2009. Is Council okay with us releasing their 2009’s Contribution for the cost of this event?

(1) Comprehensive Plan Housing Committee appointments.
(2) I received a call from Comcast that they can no longer pay a Company to tape our Borough Council Meeting because it is not in our Franchise Agreement with them. They will continue to tape the meetings for a period of time and during this time they will help us to get our Community Channel up and running so that we can tape our own meetings.
(3) The Farmers Market is open every Friday from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
(4) General Code has our E-Code up and running, you can access our Code on the web at http://www.e-codes.generalcode.com/codebook_frameset.asp?lg=1&t=ws&cb=2517_A .
(5) Council will have to discuss adopting a motion to approve the Resolution for our 2009 CDBG Grant Program in the amount of $171,959.
