COUNCIL MEMBER & COMMITTEE REPORTS
Ed Phipps - Parks & Recreation, Public Safety, Finance & Fellowship House (1) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to grant the Conditional Use for 20 East 11th Avenue. (2) The Committee would like Council to adopt a motion to accept Siletta Plumbing bid for $6,500 in heater repairs to the “A” Field heater and authorize this expenditure from the Parks and Recreation Impact Fees. Bob Stokley - Public Works, Parks & Recreation, Personnel, Building & Grounds & Fellowship House (1) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to adopt the advertised Ordinance for the West Fifth Avenue at Freedley Square road dedication. (2) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to approve the Intent to Award to Laffredo Construction their bid for the 400 block of the Streetscape Project. (3) Council needs to authorize the Manager to release the following escrows:
Ike Griffin - Transportation & Parking, Public Safety & Building & Grounds (1) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion authorizing the Manager to sign the certification for the Greater Valley Transportation Association for our $1,000 local matching funds support.
Tony Tucci - Public Safety, Public Works, Parks & Recreation & Library (1) The Committee is working on an amendment to our Traffic Ordinance for handicapped parking spots (additions and deletions), no parking in the cul-de-sac and parking against traffic.
Paul McConnell – Personnel, Finance, Public Works, Building & Grounds, Transportation & Parking, & Library (1) There is a Police Pension and Firemen’s Pension Investment Advisor meeting to report to Council and our employees the results for 2008 scheduled for Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 7:30 P.M.
Jason Salus - Building & Grounds, Personnel, Transportation& Parking, Finance & MaryWoodPark House (1) Council will have to ratify for the minutes the vote taken on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 to accept the Developer’s offer for 143 West Second Avenue Section 104 Parks and Recreation Impact Fee. Mr. Stokley made the motion which was seconded by Mr. Phipps, a roll call was taken and everyone voted to accept the offer.
Joe Collins - Mayor Report (1) Police report for the month.
(2) The West Third Avenue four way stop intersection project update. (3) Police contract negotiations update.
(4) The Civil Service Commission eligibility list update.
(5) The Mayor would like Council to approve watches for employees with 20 years of service to the Borough. (6) We need a crossing guard for the crossing at Third and Fayette Street. Sandy Caterbone - President (1) The resident’s letter concerning a handicapped parking space located at 214 West Fifth Avenue will be presented to the Public Safety Committee at their next meeting.
(2) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to extend Carl Royer and Nancy Nugent contracts for twelve (12) months. (3) Conshohocken Borough and West Conshohocken Borough are scheduled to have the Thursday, February 26, 2009 Montgomery County Boroughs Association Dinner at 6:00 P.M. (4) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion for a Resolution for Connie Williams for all her work and support to our community. (5) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to authorize the Solicitor to advertise an Ordinance for the Wastewater Authority’s revised local limits that needs to be adopted by all contributing municipalities by March 20, 2009. (6) There will be a Waiver of Off Street Parking Hearing for “On a Roll” on March 4, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. (7) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a Resolution for the Land Development Plan for 225 West 5th Avenue.
