COUNCIL MEMBER & COMMITTEE REPORTS

 Ed Phipps - Parks & Recreation, Public Safety, Finance & Fellowship House

 

(1) The Parks and Recreation Committee would like Council to adopt a motion to replace the play unit at the Aubrey Collins Park with Parks and Recreation Impact funds.

(2) The Parks and Recreation Committee would like Council to adopt a motion to replace the locker room door at the “A” Field with Parks and Recreation Impact funds.

(3) The Parks and Recreation Committee are changing their monthly meeting from the second Tuesday to the second Monday at 6:00 P.M.

 

Bob Stokley - Public Works, Parks & Recreation, Personnel, Building & Grounds & Fellowship House

(1) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion authorizing the Solicitor to advertise an Ordinance for the West Fifth Avenue at Freedley Square dedication.

(2) The Engineer presented some Streetscape Project plan options for the 100 block corner to the Committee and Council needs to make a decision on which option to select.

(3) The Borough has started to collect our recyclables with the single stream method and this allows us to expand what we can collect as recyclables.  A mailing went out to all residents advising them of this change.

(4) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to authorize the Engineer to bid the 400 block of the Streetscape Project.

 (5) Council needs to authorize the Manager to release the following escrows:

Ike Griffin - Transportation & Parking, Public Safety & Building & Grounds

(1) Council has some options to review concerning the Rambler operations.

 

Tony Tucci - Public Safety, Public Works, Parks & Recreation & Library

(1) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to approve the advertised Police Pension Trust and Ordinance.

(2) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to authorize the Solicitor to advertise an amendment to our Traffic Ordinance to remove the handicapped parking spot by Pizza Time.

 

Paul McConnell – Personnel, Finance, Public Works, Building & Grounds, Transportation & Parking, & Library

 (1) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to waive The First Baptist Church’s permit fees for the fit-out of the interior of the new church.

Jason Salus - Building & Grounds, Personnel, Transportation& Parking, Finance & Mary Wood Park House

 (1) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a Resolution for the amended Land Development approval for Rumsey Electric Company at 15 Colwell Lane.

 

Joe Collins - Mayor Report

(1) Police report for the month.

(2) The Mayor would like to discuss with Council watches for employees with 20 years of service to the Borough.

(3) Council has a copy of the Penn Dot release concerning the two bridges being replaced in Plymouth on Conshohocken Road.

(4) We need a Crossing Guard for the crossing at Third and Fayette Street.

(5) The Mayor would like Council to adopt a motion to approve Dave Lennon’s request for his third and final tuition reimbursement for 2009 for $975.75 plus book cost.

(6) The Police will be starting a new program shortly to leave door hangers at businesses and residences advising the occupant that they were there at a certain date and time and for what reason.

 

Sandy Caterbone - President

(1) Council needs to discuss Boards and Commissions term expiration for 2009.

(2) The Engineer is requesting to be reappointed and their rates are the same since 2006.

(3) Council will have to discuss allowing an extension of the driveway depression at 200 West 6th Avenue.

(4) Council will have to discuss if they want to adopt a motion to extend Carl Royer and Nancy Nugent contracts for twelve (12) months.

(5) Conshohocken Borough and West Conshohocken Borough are scheduled to have the Thursday, February 26, 2009 Montgomery County Boroughs Association Dinner at 6:00 P.M.

 

 

Mike Savona - Borough Solicitor

(1) Wastewater Authority’s letter concerning revised local limits that needs to be adopted by all contributing municipalities by March 20, 2009.
