(2) Minutes for the 10/15/08 Council meeting and 11/5/08 Public Hearing.
COUNCIL MEMBER & COMMITTEE REPORTS Ed Phipps - Parks & Recreation, Public Safety, Finance & Fellowship House Bob Stokley - Public Works, Parks & Recreation, Personnel, Building & Grounds & Fellowship House (1) Council will have to discuss if they want to approve the 2008 Streetscape Project change order for $11,050. (2) Council will have to discuss if they want to appoint Peter Costa to the position of Mechanic at the Public Works Department contingent on him passing all the preliminary tests. (3) Council will have to discuss adopting a motion to authorize the Council President to sign the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Master Casting Agreement. (4) Council needs to authorize the Manager to release the following escrows: Developer Project Amount 1401 Partners Colwell Lane (Jones Brothers) $46,739.50 East Elm street, LP 125 East Elm Street $89,687.70 less Engineering fees. Tess Landholding LLC 430 – 434 East Hector Street $136,265.00 Shaffer Builders East 7th Avenue (Hale Pump) $16,040.00
Ike Griffin - Transportation & Parking, Public Safety & Building & Grounds (1) Council will have to discuss adopting a motion authorizing the Manager to execute a Sewer Module for the Seven Tower Bridge Project.
Tony Tucci - Public Safety, Public Works, Parks & Recreation & Library (1) Council will have to discuss authorizing the Solicitor to advertise for adoption of the 2006 Fire IFC and the 2008 ANSI Standard. (2) Council will have to discuss appointing an Arbitration Attorney in case we go to arbitration with the police. (3) Council will have to discuss approving Conshohocken Number 2’s request to waive the fee for their permit to repair the concrete in front of the firehouse.
Paul McConnell – Personnel, Finance, Public Works, Building & Grounds, Transportation & Parking, & Library (1) Council will have to discuss adopting a motion for the presented preliminary 2009 budget which is currently out of balance by $179,680. The budget will be available for public inspection on November 24, 2008 and Council intends to adopt the final budget at the December 17, 2008 Council meeting. (2) Council will have to discuss approving the proposed Rules and Regulations for our Mercantile and Business Privilege Taxes. (3) There is a Riverwalk Apartment Fire Victims benefit scheduled for November 30, 2008 at Maddies on Route 30 in Frazer. (4) Council will have to discuss authorizing the Solicitor to advertise an Ordinance for the Police Pension Plan Trust and Ordinance. (5) Council will have to discuss adopting a Resolution authorizing the Staff to submit the Borough’s Housing Rehabilitation Program application for $400,000 for State HOME Funds. Joe Collins - Mayor Report (1) Police report for the month. (2) The Mayor would like Council to approve the 2009 Saint Patrick’s Day Parade for Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. contingent on them getting all the approvals from the State.
Sandy Caterbone - President (1) Borough of Conshohocken Codification adoption update. The Code was introduced to the public at the November 5, 2008 Workshop meeting. (7) Council will have to discuss accepting Steve Nelson’s resignation from the Planning Commission and appointing a replacement to the Commission. (8) Council needs to discuss the meetings schedule for 2009. (9) Council needs to discuss Boards and Commissions term expiration for 2009. (10) Council will have to discuss adopting a motion for a Special Parking space for 214 West 5th Avenue.
